Roles and Responsibilities for Finding Funding Opportunities

The roles below are responsible for assisting PI and researchers in finding funding opportunities, however final authorization on eligibility will come directly from SRP in collaboration with RED.

Liaison Analyst A liaison analysts will be tasked with looking for funding opportunities directly benefiting their department faculty (both junior & senior) and their areas of research. Federal: Research (R series), Career (F/T series), Research training & fellowship, project/center grants, etc. CDC, NIH, NSF, DOD, HRSA, NMSS
SRP Pre-Award Analyst Will forward any received funding announcements to relevant PIs; and will provide assistance in directing PIs to their REDestablished Pivot account so that the PI can locate appropriate funding opportunities. Federal, State & Foundation. NIH, NMSS, CalMed Force, OSHPD, VOCA
Strategy Position  Strategic planning, implementation management,
as well as assisting in identifying programmatic
funding opportunities
*10-15% of the FTE.
Non-governmental, non-NIH type of funding opportunities First 5
SOM Central Office Analyst Individual who will services all of SOM and ensure collaboration between PIs & different departments when it comes to locating funding opportunities. All grants and contracts. Industry sponsored, Federal including more complex grants. DOD, NIH-Program & center grant, For profit organizations
